Not sure where exactly I’ll go, but I’m pretty much confined to North America, more for financial reasons than lack of time this time around.

Not sure when exactly, but it’ll be sometime in June before I start my new work.

“You Pretty Boy, Take Picture With Me”

I swear that’s what that one shameless Chinese girl in Beijing said to one of my American friends. My friend who just happened to be Caucasian, 6′1″ (186 cm), with green eyes and light brown hair.

Then a few more of her friends surrounded my tall white American friend for additional pictures. I only captured this one.

Taiwanese Food Made Me Fat (1/2)

At first, I was planning to title this article “Taiwanese Food Makes You Fat,” but then I realized that wouldn’t be quite fair. After all, I have lots of Taiwanese friends who are slim (Arm and Rem and Bonnie, I’m not talking about the three of you).

Taiwan’s famous BBQ corn-on-the-cob. I don’t particularly like it, but many of my friends love it.

In Love…With a Time (2/2)

Tsuru, the little countryside town where I studied, is a thoroughly uninteresting place. I don’t care how much history it might have or the fact that it’s greenery offers a refreshing change from Tokyo’s ultra-urban environment. The weather there sucks. All of Tsuru and its neighboring cities are in a valley, so it’s sweltering in the summer and fall and freezing in the winter. Spring is the only time with pleasant weather.

The place I called home during one of the most wonderful times of my life.
