Traveling Thoughts and Thoughts on Traveling

FAQ

Why is the site called “Complete and Creative”?

Heh. Wouldn’t you want to know?

Who is Terry really?

You ask a deep question the answer to which many have sought in vain (including me).

Refer to the About section for some background info.

What makes this site different from the bajillion other travel blogs out there?

How am I supposed to know? Okay, fine, I guess I am supposed to know.

Not all travelers are readers; not all readers are travelers. A number of travelers only read for the purpose of getting the most out of their trips. Or at least to learn how not to get killed or ripped off. A number of readers are the sedentary type who would much rather cozy up on a sofa next to a fireplace with a good book than to take a step outside the house. Wow, I actually managed that without offending either group. Uh…right?

This blog is probably optimal for the demographic that is the cross-section of both groups, people who are both travelers and readers. Doesn’t mean you have to be both to visit and enjoy, though. :)

Why are your posts so long?

Are they? Really? I suppose they are when compared to those of many other blogs. I’ll try to vary the length of my posts.

Are people accurate when they say you’ve “been all over the world”?

Strictly speaking, no. I’m still missing a few continents and about 150 countries.

Of all the countries you’ve visited, which is your favorite?

I get this a lot. The answer is worthy of an entire entry.

Do you really know as much about traveling as your friends and family seem to think you do?

Probably not.

Oh well.

Why is that part of the site looking so screwy?

Because when it comes to web design, I’m like a UCLA north campus major trying to figure out an engineering problem or a UCLA south campus major trying to write poetry. If at this current moment there is something off about the site (which is very likely), I’m trying to figure out what’s going on and fix the problem (which is also very likely proceeding without much fruition).
